Card hold above driver's door
 

Does anyone know if the card holder above the driver's door can be replaced with an 'oh [censored] handle'? I'm thinking that an 'oh [censored] handle' will bolt in the same holes as the card holder.

The driver generally doesn't need such a handle, as both hands are hanging on to the steering wheel. Besides, the card holder is handy for parking lot tickets and such.

Family pictures! Or even a pic of a hit job target (real easy to simply glance up at it, instead of endangering yourself or others fumbling through you wallet while driving).

Actually, several ppl replaced their cardholder with the handle last year. Apparently, the handle set that goes above the passenger door is a direct fit with no mods required.

The part number is 73940-AL500. The installation instructions are at mywebpages.comcast.net/tyannone/G35_grab_handle.htm. Note that steps 2 - 4 are unnecessary. Just snap the ends of the handle into the openings.

Notice they say that's the part number for the willow interior. I guess they haven't looked inside a graphite car... the headliner is still willow. [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

IMHO: Why da heck would you change the card holder into a 'handle'? I don't recall any other cars with a handle on the driver side front. Possibly in the back to hang clothes, etc. but not the front. I think it would look kinda weird......Just put a picture of your wife or gf and get some brownie points when you screw up [img]/w3timages/icons/laugh.gif[/img]

I didn't change my card holder, just remembered others that did. I think the price was about $40 or $45 from the parts dept at the dealers.
