i will never to business with this buyer again as he will do the same with me , i have been a honest and good seller along with helping other members with their rides, people who know me, know that i am a good guy and seller/ buyer..

He says it took him awhile to get the rims to me because he was shopping around for a way to ship them to Hawaii is BS. He knew how he was going to ship them but was looking for another set of rims to buy before selling the ones I paid for.
When I discovered the chip in the rim and notified him of it he replied with the following:
He appeared as though he was going to own up to selling crap, but nonetheless, chose the low road. He even sent the following follow-up email:
It's SO obvious he knew of the chip beforehand. If ANYONE wants a copy of ALL the correspondance between me and this seller, just PM or Email me, you can have it. You will see how sad his communication and business dealings are.
On March 12, 2007, I sent the following email:
Which is why I got back to him so late. I work for the legislature in Hawaii, and we were in session...I did not have the time to fix the rim. The seller also claims that I saw pictures and knew what I was buying...well...he was REALLY good at hiding the driver side rim...there where NO close-up's of that rim.
I didn't even complain about the fact that he'd polished off ALL of the clear coat off of two of the rims. Anyone that knows anything about taking care of these types of rims knows you need to care for them...not this seller.
To all who will deal with this schmuck in the future, beware.

i was not aware of the chip and i can honestly say that i am sorry for not noticing if you would like get a quote and i can send some money to repair it if it is reasonable and a slash was not there when i had the rims in my possesion
each rim was insured for 600 each so if you want to resolver with fedex for the tire then do so accordingly but as far as the chip ill be more then willing to help resolve it
