where does the clearance light assembly goes when you go from an 03 to 06 lights

IvoryGT 05-30-2006 05:36 PM

06 Doesnt come with any clearance strip, so I cut out thin stripes on the clearance strip reflector on the 06 and use back lighting to light it up.

g35rcr 05-30-2006 07:24 PM

well if i dont do that im guessing you just dont plug in any bulbs in the clearance strip and just zip tie it off

accordfreak 05-30-2006 08:13 PM

what color are you painting it? also, what are you using to cut the strip so precisely? looks good

IvoryGT 05-30-2006 10:42 PM

Im making this for someone. It will be painted Obsedian Black and the projector shrouds in slate gray, a really dark gray almost black. The clearance strip I cut it by hand first then trim the rest with dremel.

Oh NOW I understand what you mean. if you switch from 03 to 06 you only plug it in. The plugs are the same and the power will become the city light in the 06.

cant wait to see the finished product... im taking that you have HIDs for the fogs?

g35rcr 05-31-2006 07:33 AM

ok so the clearance strips are the city lights, and everything else is the same---turning, high\fog, and low...where are the city lights located

IvoryGT 05-31-2006 12:04 PM

they are inside the foglight reflecter housing.
