Interior lights and Nav don't dim anymore when the headlights come on!!

try changing the side marker lights to regular bulbs..
i had issues with my turn signal and my NAV going from night/day mode when my side markers were out..

When I replaced the side marker bulbs (after a $600 diagnostics at the dealer) everything went back to normal..

did you rewire your side markers to blink with your turn signals? I did, and that's what was causing the issue.. The dealer just rewired it back to stock for me.. :)

since LED take a LOT less wattage.. maybe just MAYBE that's it... it's worth a shot.. yes?

Definitely worth a shot! I'll try it tomorrow. Thanks. Hopefully it fixes the problem. If not, I really won't know what to do lol.

So I tried putting in my stock 194 bulbs in my corners. They didn't even come on. They had no power! So, as I was trying to get power to them by messing with the light stock, I noticed a few things:

(1) my "turn signal" LED bulbs are not 7443, but just 7440. In other words, when I turn the light stock to the auto/parking/on position (all three of which should trigger the amber turn signal to come on at night time), the turn signals would not come on. They have ONE level of brightness, so they don't come on EXCEPT when the turn signals are flashing.

(2) the corner lights don't have any power, ever

(3) the REAR brake lights ONLY come on when I am braking! They no longer shine at a dimmer setting with my light switch turned to the on position. (same issue as the parking/turn signal lights up front).


So, my next possible remedy is to try putting my stock front TURN SIGNALS back in (that are 7443 bulbs), and see if that fixes everything.

Along with the newly found problems listed in number 3, my interior lights still don't dim.

Any further suggestions? I'm going to try putting my stock turn signals back in RIGHT NOW. So I'll find out in a little bit if that fixes it...but in the meantime, any suggestions are welcome!
