Brighter Headlights?

I hate to even ask this as it's probably a retarded question but at the moment I cant afford to do any crazy conversions on my headlights but would like a better quality, brighter headlight. The stock ones are ok but I am looking for a brighter (possibly blueish) look. Can anyone recommend some replacements?

I take it you have non HID headlights, if so then the brightest bulb I have experience so far is the Sylvania ZXE. Mostly found at Advance Auto parts and other local auto part stores. The only draw back that I have experience is that they last a little over a year long.

You have an 07 coupe, with HID projectors. Most people with 03-05 want to upgrade to those. You're not going to get any brighter, and ricer "blue-ish" bulbs are technically dimmer (they put out fewer lumens) than the stock ones. They might look cool, if that's your thing, but won't meet your goal of actually being brighter.

The only way those '07 projectors could be dull is if your headlight covers are frosted/yellowed by time. If that's the case invest in a 3M kit and brighten up those headlight covers! Buying bulbs that only last a year isn't bright either!

Have you ever replaced the bulbs? The car is about 10 years old now, and HID bulbs get dimmer over time as the salts inside the bulb burn off. A cheap yet capable replacement would be Morimoto XB35 4500k D2S bulbs, they're about $50 online.

Of course it's also likely that the lenses on your headlights are hazing and crusted over so you'll need to polish them up to get the best results.

Para glad you looked into those MM ones I mentioned!

Op, post pics of your car I don't think you have projectors.

07 Coupe has protectors, unless some aftermarket lights have been installed.

I've done retrofits on past cars, I'm more than familiar with Morimoto products 😉

I'm hoping someone already mentioned this - you can get bright or you can get blue, but you cannot get both.

When it comes to HIDs, there are two numbers that tell you how bright the bulb is. Lumens will tell you how much energy is illuminating whatever you are lighting up, and Kelvin Rating tells you how hot the bulb is burning (the hotter the bulb burns, the more blue or purple it will appear). And the great part about this is that they work against each other. Basically, to achieve the blue or purple color, the bulb has to burn a lot of energy, energy which would otherwise be used to illuminate the road.

If you want bright headlights, stick with something under 4500k. 4300k should produce the most lumens, but 4500k just appears whiter. If you want blue or purple, get whatever you want.

Bluish is not brighter. It is dimmer. Stick with 4300-5500k and you'll have a nice white light. If your headlights have hazed up, usually a polishing compound will clean them up making a noticeable improvement in available light.

Or like others have said, our cars are 11-14 years old now and the headlights are too. Fresh bulbs could be enough.

Those projectors rock. I have them and E55 shrouds on my '04 Accord. Massively wide and long beam pattern with a very sharp cut line. Some guy in an Accord Facebook group makes them. Paid $460 shipped for the headlights already assembled with bulbs and ballasts. Plug and play too. Quality was excellent. Trying to get him to build me a pair for my G35 but his wife recently had a baby so his headlight enterprise seems temporarily on hold.
