My advice, read the sticky post at the top of this forum on Foglights. Change the fog/high bulbs with the H-4 (9003) of your choice. If you do okay with that, you might want to try tackling the H-1 bulb replacement for the Main (low) beams yourself, but it's quite a bit more involved if you're going to HIDs as you have to do a bit of re-wiring and install ballasts. Might be better to have a pro do it if you're not comfortable.

450 and 650 sound like good deals.. but sounds kinda sketchy being described as "purple looking" and "blue looking"... and usually the purple is more expensive because of the higher color temps involved in getting that look... also, if you go with HID's, make sure of the brands they're using.. ask for the brand of the ballast and the bulbs...

My G35 Sedan also didn't come with Xenon I bought a kit from someone in Miami the total was 365.00 shipping included I installed it by myself LOOK GREAT better than the OEM the email to contact Jose Solano is solano1082@aol.com fast shipping you won't regret when you email him just say that Israel Gomez from Puerto Rico recommend him and he will give you the same price.
Then when you have it I explain to you how to install it.

Hi Tony
Those halogens Hyper White, are halogen with blue coating and higher watts (high watt=high temp) its posible that they could damage your wiring or even the headlight, I have them for a while in my G35 during the day with the lights off your headlight will look blue(I hate that) and in the night they look whiter than the standard halogen but they don't improve visibility, you will understand the difference when you get your HID, If you want a good kit buy one with Hella or Phillip ballast and make sure that they don't use blue coating HID bulbs, I suggest you to buy from solano1082@aol.com, I love how they look the ballast are Hella they came with a sticker on it but if you take-it off they are original Hella ballast the same in Mercedes and BMW he gave you warranty in all parts. And have the best price in 6000k wich is blue 365.00 and 7000k purple 380.00 shipping included I have the 6000k but I'dont know if was a mistake and he send me the 7000k but they look purplish, anyway they look great and better and brighter than OEM.

OEM is short for: original equipment manufacturing.

no aftermarket HID kit is street legal right now.. if it's not installed by the manufacturer, than it's not DOT legal.. if you got the kit from infiniti and had them install it, even if it was aftermarket, it should be legal.. but any other kit out there isn't.. if they say it is, then stay away from them.. the only headlight mod that is legal is changing bulbs.. and even then, you'd have to get the ones that specifically say they're legal (i.e. sylvania silverstars)

Tony:
I'm not sure about the reason, but aftermarker HID are not legal, here in Puerto Rico don't have this pronlem yet, also if they're in a luxury car Police may think that are factory HID not the same if they find them in a Honda Civic. Buy a OEM kit from Infiniti it's very expensive just the bulbs cost like 300.00 each and I think you have to change the headlight too. Cause HID aftermaker kit comes to replace the type of bulb in G35 case is a H1 for lowbeam but the original headlight use the D2S hid bulb and will not fit in the standard Headlight, I guess you can spend like 2000.00 in the OEM HID.

About the payments method he accepts PayPal, I paid him by money order he received it in 3 days and send the package by priority mail and I got it in 3 days. The installation even change the bulb is not that easy there's a forum about how to do it. check it out.

you have to replace the entire headlight housing when buying OEM from infiniti. Each costs a little over $700, but that doesn't account for the "accuator" which i'm assuming is the ballast that needs to be bought and installed as well.. Each of those is probably a couple hundred.. $2000 is a good estimate, but i wouldn't doubt if it cost more than that...

Re: Changing Headlights and Fogs.. i'm so lost.

you need to get H1's.. and if you're talking about color, go with color temps.. not "brightness".. i think the general fact about HID's is that the brightest color temp is around 4500 - 5000K... any more than that and you actually lose brightness because the color temps cause lower lumens.. stay away from the blue tinted bulbs too.. those will really hurt the brightness of your bulbs.. and different kits label their bulbs differently.. one kit might say 8000K.. another kit will say 6000K, but it'll be the same color.. if you want a true OEM looks.. go for a 4300K kit that has both phillips ballasts and bulbs.. for something more unique, try the phillips ultinon bulbs that are 6000K.. a bluish color.. from what i hear, CATZ makes good HID kits too.. you might want to check them out.. careful with the ones you see on ebay though.. watch out for the bulbs made in asia..
