2k6 Projector Housing on 2k5 Blinker off when lights on?

So will my 2005 coupe keep the front turn signals off when not signaling like the 2006 cars do when I install my 2006 housings? I did search for this fact but could not find it in the sea of projector threads.

Thanks, A

So the small amber/clear circle does not light up as a parking light for '06? It's only used as a turn indicator?

No it does not because in 06 they added a city light to each headlamp and that stays on permanantly now so the blinker is used only when needed

IspecialistChad - I know thats how it works on the 2006 coupe, I just want to make sure that it wil behave the same on my 2005 coupe with the 2006 headlights. Sorry if that is redundant, I am just trying to get the facts about the install and what will change.

Thanks

There is a very simple mod to make the 05 blinker turn on only when signalling. I remember reading it somehwere, something to do with taking out one of the pins in the bulb or something, search for it.

I installed the 06 headlights on my 05 coupe, and the those lights will only blink when turn signal is selected, will be off when just lights are on.

i think the blinker on the 06 can stay on like the prior models as long as u use the dual filament bulb because i see the 2 extra connectors thats not being used with the 7440 bulb.
