you still around need help with valve body asap

Hello,
Have question about my window operation please?
2006 coupe....My driver's window has started going down about 4" when I close it. It only does this sometimes. When I put the window up with or without auto up it goes all the way up and stops and then comes back down the 4" or so.
I have read about the reset procedure but most are not sure if this will fix this. Some say a new motor is needed.
Yesterday I couldn't get it it to stay up for anythng no matter how many times I went up and down....close thee dooor...Open the door....etc... And then it closed and stayed closed. Not too good at all as I need it to be dependable.
Ideas? Experience?

thanksss. they are a pinkish color. the newer ones are red from what ive seen since i changed some out for one kid a while back.
