It’s just a common rust point on cars that see salt on occasion. It will need body shop attention to stop unfortunately.

THere are a few fuse boxes on the passenger side of the car under the hood, one you have to remove the windshield shroud for. Maybe when you has your impact something came loose here or fuses popped...

Sounds like a warranty part swap. It is not regulating the voltage and that part is internal/mounted to the alt. You unfortunately will need to replace it.

I would check your grounds for corrosion, sounds like you have a grounding problem. Usually when the key sign shows, you have a key fob battery on its last legs (close to being dead).
