depending how tight it is already I usually do a 1/4 turn in of the adjusting bolt, retest, then tighten again if needed.

also, make sure it's nice and warmed up...

supercharger is set boost per rpm (no matter what the load is) so the only want to not have the same boost for a given rpm is belt slip or a boost leak. Since a boost leak would happen in all gears...
