My 07 Sport did the same thing and it drove me crazy. It felt cheap. I took it to the dealer and after some prodding, they replaced my entire steering column! Fixed and great now.

I dont know if you can say any of the infinities have the "same" chassis, although they all use a modified FM (Front Midship) RWD platform. THey are modified for each car, for example the M's chassis...
