I was looking at that and from reading other peoples experiences, it doesn't seem so unless the intake became fully submerged then the bypass would become active...

No it has the shielding on the wheel wells and the guard from underneath but I still seem to manage to get it wet through the front of the bumper whenever it rains with any significance as THAT part...
