just debadge the letterings. leave the mt. fuji, you will not regret it.

I removed the Infiniti lettering shortly after purchasing the car. It was such a pain to wash and wax arounf the letters. Recently, I removed the 'G35' badging. Now, the rear end looks much more balanced with only the Infiniti emblem remaining.

I say leave all of the Infiniti Badging except for the "G35"... both the symbol and the lettering look fine and ballanced in the middle of the trunk lid. I do agree that it's a huge pain in the *** to wax around the lettering though, but I just think it looks a little empty back there with nothing there from what I've seen.

Pangyzzle 08-29-2007 03:09 AM

Get some gasoline and wipe it off... Should come right off... Make sure you rinse and wipe it off with water right away though. I'm assuming gas would fegg shait up if it sat there for a while.

assuming that its that gunk from the tape, use your nails and just scratch it off. Thats what i did and it was fine. Nails aren't abrasive agianst the clearcoat. then claybar the shieat out of it.

I just kept using goo gone and my finger nails to get it as smooth as possible. I had some ghosting for about a week or so but now its evened out.

How did you all remove the lettering? It looks great! Very clean!

Pangyzzle 08-29-2007 02:04 PM

i cant really tell, but i hope this is not an imprint on the car. i hope its just a small hard layer of glue that me and my friend tried really hard to take off. not noticeable from far away or looking at it up close but looking at in with an angle, it will certainly show

It doesn't matter what color G35 you have, removing those Infiniti
and the G35 letters makes your backside clean. Clean has always been
my "thing!"

Here's mine. The previous owner did the debadging and I didn't like it at first, but it's growing on me.
