The main harness is actually easier than the headlight wires.. the headlight ones need to be extended..

hmm, ive heard both on the forums that some people had to extend the headlight wires and that some got away without having to extend anything at all and as for the main harness, ive gone through the guide on it a few times just trying to get a good understanding of what all gets moved and to where but some better detailed pics would really make it easier i think. i guess the only way to figure it out is to just do it

awesome man, i guess im going to have to finally tear it all apart and just do it sometime soon. did you just leave the main harness sitting behind the engine all curled up or did you drill a hole through the firewall and pass it through to where the driver side battery cover is like sexyrob did?

I've heard the same.. Couple of my buddies do it (sexyrob and G35man04), and the passenger side headlight harness must be extended.. Main harness, he drills a hole through the firewall, labels the wires and pushes everything through underneath where the windshield wipers would cover..

We just tucked the main harness behind the block.. the headlights ones we ran out the holes under the battery cover and under the jdm battery cover and ran them under the fenders..

That's formally called "Tilt-shift".. That's what I was telling you about earlier..

ah makes a lot more sense now. its definitely easier to accomplish that pic when theres a setting for it on the camera. im learning right now on landscapes and nature type pics to figure out the majority of the settings and then ive been trying out a few of them on the car and doing some black/white pics as well. got any other recommendations to help me out?

Yeah tilt shift FTW. Some people take some crazy pics with that mode. Just don't over do it!

This is one of my favorite Gs. Very sexy. Good job.

Edit:

Maybe you can try this sometime:

Honestly, get to know your camera at the fundamental level and start understanding the "exposure envelope" (Shutter speed/Aperture/ISO) and how all of those affect exposure. Understanding a little theory will go a long way and will be transferable regardless to what camera you have and it's various modes or effects..

Utilizing the novelty modes that came w/ the camera w/out knowing a bit of the theory behind what makes them work will limit you in your growth.. That's scary because when those effects get old to you, your love of photography can dwindle.. That's why it's imperative to really get your feet set in the theories and fundamentals of photography if you're really gonna get into it (which I see you getting new bodies and lenses, so I think you're trying to get serious to a point, or at least learn to take better shots which is EXCELLENT) Improvement in anything is always awesome..

I tend to shy away from in camera effects because I'd rather have the raw image and then be able to manipulate it any way I please in post production.. When you shoot w/ those effects in camera, it applies the effect to the only copy of the image and you're stuck w/ that image and that's all.

As far as new ideas, try shooting the car from uncommon angles.. Also, try to find certain details of the car that you really like and try to frame them in creative ways...

The next theory you should look into, is "The Rule of Thirds"... I think you'll grow by leaps and bounds if you start looking at composition theory. That'll make you INSTANTLY better.
