Sorry if I seemed rude, didnt mean it that way. Over years here, there has been many many many threads titled "New Carbon Fiber Interior' or "New Carbon Fiber Roof" ect. I get all excited to see something unique.... then open it up just to find out it is fake cf vinyl.

Well.... Since I did it it set my back a few hundred.... If someone else did it it would be a few Thousand... Because of all the labor... Mastergrade makes a cap that you can pop on for like 800 bucks I think...

Also Buddie...

Just wait I have a real Carbon Fiber interior that will be done in a few months.

Man...how did this thread go from watching Speed complete his trunklid to carbon fiber roof caps? Can we get back to the subject and see this duckbill trunklid finished?

Ready to paint on 6/25

Do you suppose the trunklid came out so bad Speed had to go back and start over? Can't imagine any other reason he hasn't posted pic.

I really dont know why its taking so long... Its taking longer than remolding a fiberglass bumper and repainting...

R1 just came out with a duckbill trunklid, they used a OE trunklid to start the process so fitment should be dead nuts unlike most other aftermarket lids. Going to have my KurumaZ bumper repainted while the F/G trunk is being prep/painted/installed. Once I get the trunk I'll contact my body guy for a start date and get er goin...Gary

I have the R1 trunk... The fitment is SPOT ON. Literally just bolted it up no alignment and bam fit perfect.
