I haven't gotten it yet (ds) but bought it off the classified here. I wonder if he also had it on Craigslist? ? Gotta stay with the theme.

Even though I've recently moved on from my G, just wanted to say kudos for putting together this great thread and for chronicling your adventures with this car. Very inspiring to see you DIY all this stuff in an effort to keep one of these great cars on the road. Can't wait to see some pics from the track when you get it running the way you want.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
I got a misfire tonight on the way into work. No CEL, no smoke, no knocking I can tell..just rougher running and way down on power.
I haven't had a chance to look under the hood yet. I'll have to borrow my buddies UpRev cable and get a look at the sensors in Cipher/Osiris.
Never ending..

Done. The aluminum 1pc driveshaft weighs 16# LESS than the OEM. Over 31 1/2 lbs compared to just under 17 1/2 lbs.
Installed in just about an hour, test drove great. Feels smoother, but like I said my stock u joints were very stiff and chunky feeling. Nice to install an actual mod for performance increases, instead of just fixing something.
I'm just going to relax the rest of this Father's Day weekend now and enjoy it.
I'll post some shots later. It's nap time. I've been up since 5pm yesterday.

Nice build thread man..
I plan on doing the same thing to the sedan I just picked up... but geesh... the seats are horrible. every time I try to hit a corner hard.. I slide in the seat as if I have bench seats LOL.
Will be watching this thread for further developments, keep up the good work!

I did a bunch of stuff on the car yesterday..
-Oil change
-de-oiled/degreased and pressure washed the engine bay and under the car that was bathed in oil from before the fix a few weeks ago.
-fixed the passenger headlight that was out..again
-recharged the AC system..down to 40* inside the vent now
-chopped the rear spring upper rubber mounts to level the drop on the car. Took about 1" off the top of the spring rubber mount. No more rake, looks GREAT now, and the handling changed for the better..not as tail happy and more planted.
Took the family including the dog out for an evening beach cruise to get some ice cream and the car feels great.
All in all it was a good week for the G.

Looks like a baby F TYPE Jag in the back

If you are talking about the oil catch can, I have had that GReddy can on a few cars over the last 10 yrs..just needs some redesign in the plumbing for the G35.
had fun driving to work tonight in the wet. This car is a blast on damp empty roads. Since I brought the rear down it is very predictable controlled oversteer when I want it, and on wet roads the tires break loose thru 3rd if I want. Yes, the car is finally running up to par.
