Before we start...
1) i have the worst camera phone ever. I'll take real pics asap
2) my car is filthy, but its been raining so im not gonna wash
3) I realize those side pieces are missing. They have been ordered. Til then I have two nice gaps behind my rear wheels.

Long story short, someone hit and ran my rear bumper a while ago, so I decided if I'm going to pay out of pocket I may as well do a slight upgrade. I got an 06 rear bumper, body colored side skirts, and spoiler, and began putting them on. Still missing those rear fender pieces, but they're on the way.

Next, I decided to slap some coupe 18's on. Those stock 17's are hideous.

And of course I did the clear corners.

And here we go... again, sorry about the quality of the pics

Next steps will be z-tube/pop charger, tint, and a light drop (probably 350z revised springs/sport shocks with an 1" drop)

Nice where did you source the sides from?

gtrefever Jul 23, 2008 07:47 PM

the 05-06 side skirts first on the 04???

Got all the body parts from a user on here who happened to have a dgg, and did a pretty elaborate nismo switch (rear 04 bumper, nismo side and back kit). They look fantastic; not sure how much better than painting the stock sides (which is the usual alternative).

The entire 05-06 body parts seem to widen the car a little, as you can see from the two missing parts that are about an inch from the new fender pieces.

Luckily they blend in well with the stock front; I'd like to get the bottom piece body-color painted at some point

also for anyone considering labor on putting the parts on, it's really easy to do yourself as long as you set aside the right amount of time

looks good,

What did you use to cover the trunk release button?

Yes

To OP, nice upgrade. Good decision on getting the 05/06 rear.

Still no hi-res pics, but i did finally get those side pieces put on, and gave it a decent wash. I plan on detailing the **** out of it (wash, clay, polish, wax, plastx, back to black, everything) this weekend, then take pics with a real camera.

When alls said and done, I got essentially a body kit, a spoiler, and rims for less than $1100. I'm pretty happy with it, and recommend any of this stuff to anyone looking to change up their 03-04 (assuming you can find the parts)

Just added a JWT Pop Charger and Z-tube, and it sounds great.

Up next is coupe midpipe, then z front coupe rear springs and sport shocks.

and a real camera...
