thanx lev.
If I was to get a dollar for each time frame hits the floor i'll have enough money to buy new wheels in a month lolol.
I hit 16 times today. =X Record so far is 29.

Im running out of options, any idea how much preload is safe?

The spring rate you can go up to really depends on what the coilovers originally come with. The most you can change the spring rate is +/- 3kg. Any more than that and you'd need to have the coilovers revalved.

*EDIT: just noticed he has bc racing coilovers. Sounds like the 13/10 wouldn't be an issue. I don't recall what they come with but I don't think it's any less than 10/7.

they have a 12/10 option from factory. Also, I think Flyinglumpia just went to 13/10.

Why do you guys want such high spring rates? Are you tracking your sedans the oem spring rates are closer to 5kg. The damper quality and stiffness has a lot to do with the ride aswell as spring length(coilovers usually have much less suspension travel)

you have to have high rates when you're low on a sedan. there's no ground clearance to mess around with.

Yes, BCs come with 10/8 spring rates standard.

If I had the $$$ I'd do a 20kg spring rate. No joke. I really want JIC's and have them rebuild it.

Im either 12/10 or 12/12 now on BCs rear coils maxed out on 200mm springs, fronts have room, but awd doesnt have room. And I want more low.

But come to think of it, my car dont budge. 3 ppl we tried pushin it from door jams to move it half an inch to get the jack under it, and didnt happen. Had to build a 2x4 pyramid.

My biggest problem is careless city that im living in. Road goes missing in the middle of the hwy, or there is literally 5-6 inch drops on roads cuts. Or raised suer covers in the middle lane of hwys. Hit my cross member on suer cover cruising at 70 few nights ago, Spark show at night. Time to move down south or west coast.

Honestly dampening maxed out + preload, BC coils are still very comfortable.

Mine never made it on a lift. It didn't even make it on a flat bed tow truck. I had to go home and the next day raise the rear up 2" to make it on the flatbed with 2x4's.

Only way just like snoop mentioned is to jack the front and rear up.
