Friends don't let friends take their G35 muddin'

Ok, so.... long-story-short:
I had to take my G down a dirt road to get to a job the other day.
The G was already somewhat dirty, and I was planning on washing it soon, so it really wasn't a big deal...... until....
After leaving the site (down the dirt road) I decided to try a different route back, which ended up with me being really far down a dirt road and I came to a decently large amount of water across the road. Going back would have sucked really bad, so I just decided to build a little speed to make sure I got through it ok...... yeah.... bad idea....

The puddle was about twice as deep, and about 4 times longer than I had initially thought :icon43:

I hydroplaned at first, then started to bog a little, then started slipping sideways like crazy. The tail probably stepped out a good 30 degrees.
Scared the crap out of me, because I just knew I was going to bite the ditchbank.
Somehow I made it out the other side, but the G had mud ALL OVER.
Got on the windshield, and splashed all the way up on the roof!

Anyway, here's pics I snapped, enjoy (except Janik, who will lose sleep over this) :bowrofl:

Oh, and sorry about the blue cast, my phone has no concept of white balance

Yeah. The dumb camera phone does it no justice at all. There was mud freaking everywhere.

Dacket84 Feb 12, 2011 08:32 PM

That looks about on par, if not better than cars that go through winter months around here. lol

Still looks cleaner than the salt build up I got on mine!

naughty240 Feb 12, 2011 10:13 PM

Your hood to fender gap looks a lil tight.

NFSP G35 Feb 12, 2011 10:45 PM

^Interesting point.
I had never noticed that before, but it is pretty tight.
Just checked though, and it's the same on both sides and equal front to back, nothing rubs.
IDK :dunno:
I'm just going to say it was built on a Wednesday :D
