The Stimulation's New Wheel Setup...Negatives All Around

Unfortunately I can't take pics of a final setup because I have so much work that needs to be done. Really damaged my front fender and rears need lots of work since I'm doing the body work myself (cutting inner fender walls and hammering out more). Also I need a couple new suspension parts (rack and pinion and driver front lower control arm) along with fixing my O2 sensor. Damaged the crap out of those being too low....low enough where a lug nut won't clear the sway bar. I drive on some pretty bad roads too and of course it's my daily.

That said this isn't a final setup. I know the rears are tucking and fronts not poking enough, fenders need to fixed in the rear, less negative camber all around and adjust the height, tad lower all around, more stretch in the rear too, and a new front bumper since it's held by zipties since the mounting point to the fender broke.

Specs:
Wheels are BMW Style 95's (745 wheels). 19x9 and 19x10 +24. I have custom adapters, 40mm for the front and 31mm for the rear. Effective offset are 19x9 -16 and 19x10 -7
Tires: 215/35/19 Nankang NS-II's in front and 235/35/19 Achilles in the rear

Center caps will have 5mm crystals filling them completely. Color of the wheels is a sparkle silver. Major props and shout out to zeroscythe and Strafe for hooking it up. Got a great deal on stripping the paint, fixing curb rashes, and powdercoating the wheels. Color really pops out in the sun.

Onto the pics:

We finally get to see them! Looks good Levon. I actually like the fitment up front. Man, your rear is really pulled back there! How much camber do you think you'll end up running once everything is dialed in?

The Stimulation Apr 12, 2011 12:48 PM

Yeah....you should see the other side, it's the one where I actually started working on myself and the paint is all chipping. I'm hoping to bring the rears to somewhere around -5 and -6 and the fronts at about -4. My passenger front fender has more room and the driver one will too once I get a new fender and use the fender finisher on it. As for the rears I need to reduce the upward flare as well and try to get it back to the originally body shape. Who knows, maybe when I have the money I'll just splurge and just go widebody already rather than doing the work twice.

Thanks for the compliment too :)

Looks sick still....I think matte black would look even better

Johnmikins Apr 12, 2011 12:57 PM

Looks tight, love the color!

Just noticed your tire size, tuckin' 215/35s is not easy to do....nice.

I think its a sick set-up but the wheels dont match at all, u definitely could have went with a better colour. And can you please put your corners in, I know there is the problem of the corners cracking, but it makes the car looks a bit.... .. .. .. ricey. :(

The Stimulation Apr 12, 2011 02:03 PM

Thanks guys. As for the black, I've had a few people mention that too. Might go that route down the line. Just don't want the concaveness to be hidden by the dark color, kinda wanted something to pop.

Sacch, I have no sidemarker because I have no bracket. It got mangled a while back. Plus my OEM bumper is just temp, gonna try to run the Kenstyle and fill the side markers in. And right now I'm not rocking a front bumper at all.

looks sick like how you did the OEM rims

have you found your new o2 sensors lol

I just bought one on eBay but I realized one of the plugs is missing. The one that has wires going up to the engine bay against the transmission. Dunno what's gonna happen with that, if I can just splice into it or find another one from a junk yard and use that to splice into it.

b-dRizZy Apr 12, 2011 02:27 PM

i think you will be able to splice it but idk you gonna hve to put some work into that ..

any luck on the rack&pinion search ?

Wilg35j Apr 12, 2011 02:28 PM

Found some on ebay for about 250. I'm wondering if it's something I can install myself, would save me a lot of money. I've been quoted 500-700 for the replacement. Haven't checked with the mechanic I usually go to, he's usually cheaper than what I get quoted at other places. Only problem is that I need to raise the car a bit to get on his lift.

I really like those wheels Levon and the color. Nice choice.

You will definately lose detail if you paint them black.

definitely different
