How an Air Intake Works
I took apart the air intake on my G35 and made a short video on how it works:
Its pretty neat to cut open some of the components inside the air intake system. Here is the entire air intake system removed: https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/g35driv...bc718c6ec2.jpg Of notable mention: The accelerator pedal sensor uses two potentiometer tracks. These measure resistance inversely with each other as fail safe: https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/g35driv...5864f8ccc3.jpg The throttle position sensor also has two separate tracks in its potentiometer for redundancy: https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/g35driv...e4e32535a8.jpg This is what the thin wires, temperature bulb and calibration circuit look like in the MAF sensor: https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/g35driv...87794e8b13.jpg And finally, this is what's inside the drive by wire throttle body: https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/g35driv...ec873630cf.jpg |
I can see the video. But none of the pictures are showing up. |
