Volks ftw!! Man they look great! All that resxearch finally paid off ey?

ttrank Dec 11, 2007 02:20 AM

Very nice.

I had the exact same wheels, color, offset and all.

AboostedG Dec 11, 2007 02:24 AM

Congrats... Could you not have gone a lil more aggressive on the widths, offsets, or even tires?

CarFreak Dec 11, 2007 08:26 AM

Great choice!

Volks are pretty limited in terms of width and offset for the sedans. It's either 9.5 or 10.5 wide in the rears. Obvisiously 10.5 way too wide. I opted to go with a 9.5 but offsets were only available in +34 or +47. +34 would have stuck out past the fender. I was debating on running a tire combo in a 255/275 but it didn't look good. Any suggestions on running spacers?

Wicked_limitz Dec 11, 2007 12:43 PM

they look sweet!

DPE_G35 Dec 11, 2007 12:56 PM

looks very good, a lil more agressive offesets would have been perfect.

ttrank Dec 11, 2007 01:50 PM

The +34 would work with rolled fenders and a little negative camber since they are 9.5's but looks a little too aggressive IMO. The 07 is so clean and should stay that way.

Nice looking rims. They look like they will clear a BBK for sure.

Tim-

Thanks for your opinion! By the way any suggestions on running spacers?

The fronts may rub when you hit a bump in a turn if you go out much more.

You could run at least a 5mm, if not 10mm in the rear for sure. It would help a lot too! I would say to get a pair of 5mm's. They will still sit in a little but it will fill that gap up quite a bit.

Sounds like a plan to run 5mm. Where should I purchase them?

ttrank Dec 11, 2007 02:47 PM

There are a few sponsors that have them or ebay.

Gin@CZP (sponsor) said they have Ichiba ones which are good. With anything over 3mm it is a good idea to install longer wheel studs. Some guys go 5mm without but I would not. My new brakes have ~3mm thicker hats and I am getting the longer Nismo studs just to be safe.
