love the black grille. I want to do that to mine as well, but I want the other pieces to come to the puzzle first (tint, wheels, drop, a mod at all)

My car has the GT Spec Bar. And I still have my hood liner on! I got the bar sitting as close to the Engine Cover as I can. without anything hitting the bar. And the Bar still rubs the Hood liner very little. which will not harm anything at all! In time the Liner will wear away, and it's all good! So Don't worry bro! Just buy it and Install it! It's a worthy Investment!

Interesting!
One of the main reasons for not installing this was, I didn't want to remove the liner.
As well as noise reduction, it's a safety item that in case of a fire it helps to smoother it.

Any chance of getting some pics showing your engine cover clearance and the rub marks on the liner?
Is it noticeable when you close the hood?

It would really help some of us to decide..... TIA.

I'm more interested in the performance gains, does it reduce body roll. I have so much body roll.

@Wes_888..>Not sure about the Clearence of the Stock Intakes to my Injens. Since I put the bar on I had the Injens Installed already. But dot tink it will make a diffrence on which Intake you have, as I think the Engine cover sits higher than the Intakes, and you half to make clearnce for the Cover, upon doing that you will have clearance for any Intakes!

@InTgr8r..>Well my Camera is dead right now, but it would be hard to get close-up shots of the clearence. But there is no visible marks on the hood liner. it just barely rubs, leaving some light residue on the bar. So that you should tell you that it's not really touching so much that you half to worry about the liner! So just but the Bar, and Enjoy Bro!

@Csquared..> Well the Bar will not eliminate your Body Roll! You need Sway Bars and maybe some Drop Springs to eliminate Body Roll! This bar just tightens up the cars Chassis! Tightens up the front end to eliminate flexing! and gives you a little better steering response. But not much, I can really feel the diffrence when driving and going over uneven bumps in the road. the car just feels more tight. and solid. like the front is tied to the rest of the car, and makes the suspension work like it's supposed to, and not flexing the car when driving hard!

Hope this Info helps, Trust me if you thinking twice about this bar! It's definatley a worthy Buy!

It won't do a thing for body roll.
That's sways & springs

The bar stiffens things up to maintain proper geometry,
which affects how the car behaves under turning load.

On the 1st gen, with the VRT bar the improvement was HUGE
I don't think it will be as dramatic on the 2nd gen.

You're right about that.

However, this bar DOES help a little on steering input. It provides a more precise feel.

^ I'm all for that!
I'd pop for one in a heartbeat if there was a way to keep the hood liner.
