looks good man thought about doing the same thing????? u painted your wheels yourself....wow how did u do that!? and LOL at your girl nervously chewing her nails in your car! Black grill FTW

haha (;

started sanding it with sandpaper until i realized i had a scuffpad.

scuffed the f*ck out of them, primed three coats, painted five or six coats, came out nice and shiny.

same with the grille, except i just used the plastic paint, no scuffing, i plan on buying a grille soon so i just painted the stock one black for the hell of it, looks good though

what process did you take to paint the grill? and did you sand the grill ontop or did you just paint over the chrome? and what paint spray did you use?

just painted right over it.

it's paint that bonds to plastic, you'll see "PLASTIC" right on it haha, any kind works

Q8y_drifter 09-15-2009 09:25 AM

from the way it appears the led's arent in the headlight they are around the outside but thats just a guess and i was thinking the same thing if he took them apart why didnt he paint them as well, would make any sense. anyways car looks great OP :biggthumpup:

aBLUEg35 09-15-2009 09:39 AM

ya i want to paint mine black but im gun shy of opening my housings...

kbg35 09-15-2009 11:44 AM

Yeah you're right I didn't open up the headlight..

I'm 16 so whatever I do has to be minimal..my names not on the title.

But if I can find how to take my lights apart i'll probably do it anyway, it looks tight (;

And to answer the other question they're wired always hot then connected to a switch so when I park at night I can leave them on..it makes 9 out of 10 people trip when they see it.
