i was going to jump on this, but i decided against it...

...good thing i did

not really diggin it but props to you for trying our something different

Maybe it's just the distortion from the lens used, but I'm not digging it as well. To me, the straight lines are too much of a contrast to the curves of the front. Maybe it's the angles of the vents. They converge too fast in conjunction with the hood shape. Props to you for trying something different though. Happy modding!

^ ill agree with this comment but i think its standing out too much with the silver paint i think it will look nice with OB since it would blend in more, i need to get my hood repainted so i might think about this if i can see someone with a black car put this on first lol ;) Wonder how it would hold up against rock pitting?

I think it looks good but in order to pull off a full carbon hood you need to have some nice wheels, lowered, and some more carbon parts to help set it off. I do think though if you painted the whole hood silver and mask off the vents and just do those in carbon fiber it would look really sick.

i was gana do a CF hood then get the new CF trunk from strafe and maybe a CF front lip, but the problem is i feel like it would look weird and almost two toned with an LP....

here is the hood on an OB from here: http://myg37.com/forums/interior-ext...er-hood-3.html

Carbon trunk would be alright but I don't like how the carbon trunks for our cars utilize the stupid chrome trim lip, I'd rather have a carbon trunk that sticks out like it already has a lip built in but its part of the carbon trunk like the DORI trunks. I think that the carbon accents look great on silver or white cars but they must be done up properly and I think most pieces would look better if they were mostly painted but showing some carbon fiber accents to set off the car.

IF i was to get it then id rather have that hood painted black, CF not really working for me... :(

Props for trying something different. To be honest, I don't think it flows well with you lip. The lip is subtle and has a vip-ish look to it. The hood screams aggressiveness. Maybe with the oem sport lip, it would flow better. As stated earlier, I think masking off the vents and painting the rest of the hood to match the car would look great. Just my opinion...if you like it, thats all that matters.

ive never thought that hood flows with the body

+1..Paint it and mask off the vents

It doesnt look like it fits very well.

I think you need a CF front lip and some wheels and it will look good

My car is the black one with the Autokits TS style Carbon Fiber Hood and Fits very good.. actually the OEM Hood has some issues.
The passenger side has a bigger gap than the driver side (between the hood and Fender)
I didn't know, until Alex mentioned it before install the TS Hood.

I will go all carbon (front lip, hood, trunk and once is available the CF roof cap), I already have the Autokits Side Skirts and the TS style Front Bumper but I'll wait until they have a CF front Lip available.
