Jason, I have a quick question for you. Are you still on this site or do you get alerts? I guess time will tell? Thanks, John

Hello Sir, If its not a bother, might I ask some questions about the P0021 and P0011 code? I'm at a loss of what it could be at this point

whats up bro ! quick question if you dont mind helping me out . i came across your thread about the p0021 codes on the 07 g35 sedans which is a problem i am dealing with right now. i work at a nissan dealership and had one of the techs take a look. He came back to me with 395$ in parts and 10-12 hours of labor to fix the rear timing cover thats leaking which is casuing the p0021 codes to come up. my car runs fine and im just wondering what exactly is it that needs to be replaced to fix the low oil pressure issue. thanks man

Thanks a lot, after I got the long needle nose pliers it was not difficult. All I removed was the passenger ac vent. Awesome to be rid of that nightmare!

I think I am going to try to do this myself as my dad was a Nissan Mechanic for 40 years and can assist me. My only concern is that he is not as limber as he once was and will probably have trouble working in the confined space under the dash, and I don't want to break something else if I have to mess around with the dash/electrical components-air bag, wiring etc.

How did you access the grommet to apply seam sealant? What needs to be removed to get enough room to apply the seam sealer?

I will post this same question under the thread at https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...mystery-2.html so others can benefit as well.

"This is actually not asbig of a mystery as you would think. This is getting more and more common thanyou think. I think I know where your leak may be coming from. If you pop thedriver side a/c vent out look closely all the way to the firewall where the sunroofdrain hose hooks up. There is a white plastic style plug that snaps intofirewall and this is the piece that the hose hooks to. Open sunroof all the wayand have someone pour water in the drain while you observe the plug at thefirewall and i believe you will be surprised at what you see. The water runs right back into the car past this cheesy black foam seal thats on it. I justmaneuver them out of the firewall and coat them really good with seam sealer and reinstall them. Hope this helps guys"

Hi Jason, Thank you for your post about the sunroof drain grommets leaking at the firewall and have verified I have the same problem occurring on the passenger side. I called Bloomington Infiniti here in MN to inquire about the amount of labor hours they would charge to fix the problem. They talked to their 4 mechanics and they said that none of them had ever dealt with the specific problem, and that they were not willing to give a price to fix it and would just charge straight time. The service advisor recommended that I take it to a body shop to have it fixed. From what I have read the whole dash needs to come out to perform the repair. You stated the following: contd...

Hi, I seem to be having the same issue as you guys with my vq35hr 350z over in the UK.
The car has been showing low oil pressure on the in dash oil pressure gauge. Around 8-10 psi on warm idle, around 60psi at 3500rpm. Which I no is out of apec. The car used to idle as 20 psi and 60 psi at 2500rpm. Oil is 0w-40 and genuine nissan filter being used. Car has just hit 72,000 full nissan service history.
I had the car hooked up yesterday to an external gauge and indeed the car is running low oil pressure.
No faults stored and no oil light as of yet. Is this likely in your opinion to be the rear oil gallery gaskets?
Am I doing any damage to the engine still using the car?
    Kind regards
    Ross
