    yea that whit plunger doesnt move one with a button facing forward if you notice nobody has one installed on a AT that has the button on the side

    Have you ever taken your shift knob off?
    There's a white plunger thing in the middle that goes straight down. That's what the button moves, doesn't matter if it's on the front/side/top/whatever.
