New G35 owner
Hey guys! Over the past 3 weeks I have been looking for a new car (getting out of my 78' Camaro lol) and during that time I discovered the G35. I just purchased a Silver 2003 6MT G35 with the Brembo pkg. and 149k on it, BBS wheels, new all seasons (245-255) and a K&N CAI, otherwise completely stock. I will be picking it up this Friday. It has a slight bit of rust in each wheel well, and I want to nip it in the bud asap. What would you guys recommend? I love the way the car drives and feels, but nonetheless I am a car lover, and I am coming from an open headers V8, and the stock exhaust is just a bit too quiet for me lol. What would you guys suggest for making the exhaust a bit louder under 300 bucks?
Thanks for everything in advance! ~Jar
(Edit) So I'm seeing that a muffler delete sounds pretty good and can be super cheap, what are the thoughts on this?

Oh yea, I haven't officially sold it yet, but I've got the buyer coming end of this week to take her away... Im gonna miss the thing, but I just can't swing 2 cars right now (I'm only 18 lol) and it is just super unreliable, and I need something I can drive and not worry about. This one's red, almost perfect paint, no rust at all, decent inside, 420 WHP 383 stroker munci 4 speed etc. etc. etc. Its a nice car. But I'm hoping I'll be able to enjoy the G35 just as much, and not have to worry about crap breaking every week like clock work. :P

The only time I remembered the gas milage was at the.pump when filling up The G35 is a great platform to work with, easy to repair compared to a transverse mounted engine, factory service manual available for free online, components are all race inspired and very stout.
There's such a massive difference between working on a vehicle that was designed primarily as a daily driver commuter and one that was designed as a racecar, everything is strong and well braced, sure components will wear out from use but it's actually a joy to work on.
And it's not a 3/4 ton truck so nothing gets torqued to 250ft/lbs either lol.
