New Member checking in. '06 G35 coupe

Just purchased a 2006 G35 coupe AT. 117k miles. In love already. I've hopped from an 04 TSX to a 13 Mustang and my last was an 09 TC all of which I worked on and had a lot of fun with. Besides the premium interior package this car is pretty much bone stock. Runs like a champ and has been pretty well kept for an 06. Other then some minor brake sticking (which I assume is the uneven/worn rotors) the car is perfect. I have a lot of plans for this car (basic bolt on's(exhaust, intake, headers,wheels,coilovers,rotors/calipers)aftermarket system, new paint, possible engine swap, carbon fiber cosmetics(hood, trunk, trim)) and will keep everyone updated on the transformation. I want to do some preventative maintenance on the car before I start dumping money into her (machined rotors, new pads, possible tune up, new spark plugs) and am open to any suggestions or helpful advice on the matter. Thanks!

Welcome to the G35 Driver Forums Mike "Woody" Henry!

Very clean coupe Mike! Good place to start with your coupe is those brakes, depending on their condition maybe those rotors s/b replaced! Due to experience make sure no one installs your wheels with an impact gun, quickest way I know of to warp rotors! Torque wrench set at 80 psi is the correct and only way! Before you spend $$ on mods go thru your coupe especially the suspension looking for worn bushings and other maintenance issues. I change my AT fluid almost once a year living in an extreme warm climate, the 3 years Nissan calls for doesn't work down here! Mike read all the sticky's at the top of the coupe page, there's at least 10 years of good advice in those pages!
Again Mike, welcome to our forum and enjoy the ride!
