New member from NC - '03 G35 Coupe 5AT (n/a)

Hello, my name is Brad from Greensboro, NC. I have been building my silver 2003 G35 Coupe (n/a) with 5AT for about a year and a half now. My mods include: 5/16" plenum spacer, 350z manual (3.5) rear carrier (w/ VLSD), HFC's, HR y-pipe, Nismo exhaust upgrades, Transgo HD2 shift kit, 3-1 headers, 350z JDM shocks + struts + coil springs, p2m end links, Alutec lower tie bars, upper strut/shock-tower braces, urethane mounts and bushings, billet front/lower control arms, 25mm wheel spacers, 17"x8" lightweight black 'racing' wheels, performance all-season v-rated 245/ width tires, halo projector head lights, tail as turn tail mod, JDM badging, Nismo carbon fiber front grille, 1.5" rolled fenders, custom Uprev tune/ecu re-flash, Stillen ETD, 750 ml baffled oil catch can + breather, Stillen high flow CAI, ported cylinder heads, 56mm gauges, 6mt manual trans. shift boot, performance 5at shift knob, JDM 2-DIN dash conversion, 3-way component speakers, 8" bass tube (amplified), dynamats, some weight reduction (- about 100 lbs.), aFe throttle body spacer, revup oil pump, high-capacity oil pan and a few smaller exterior/interior/engine bay (cosmetic) upgrades.

My future plans include: JWT S1 camshafts, valve-springs upgrade, Crawford headers, ported upper/lower plenums, big bore throttle body, MAF sensor upgrade, stroker kit or possible VQ40DE engine swap ( from an '05+ Xterra), forced induction (turbo or supercharger), JE forged pistons (improved compression ratio), OBX Helical L.S.D., 3000 rpm stall converter (with tightest possible tolerances), upgrades for my fuel system, and I am always looking for any good input on how to further maximize my power and torque gains of my daily driven G (my g/f calls her "Quicksilver"). I look forward to learning more about our cars. Thanks for reading, it is a pleasure to meet you all!

If you plan on keeping the 5AT you will need to upgrade the clutch packs, so expect the additional cost of rebuilding the transmission. Look at the power curves between turbos and superchargers on the VQ platform. Deciding between the two depends on how much hp/tq you want and how you want the car to drive. Your looking at roughly $15-20K to get 550+ hp/tq to the wheels reliably.

Sounds like a great little project you have going, got any pictures of the car?

@herrschaft Thank you so much for the great info, I am about to get her dyno tuned soon. I'm interested to see what she spins on the rollers.

@cleric670@gmail Thanks, it has been a lot of fun. I just posted a picture and I am going to upload more tomorrow evening after work (with less glare, hopefully).

Welcome to the forums, and I second the request for pics. I plan to stay pretty much stock and just oh and ah over everyone else's mods :D
