Ready for more snow?
 

I heard 6 inches coming to NJ starting tomorrow night. I picked up my G35x the day before it snowed last week. I have to say that I am extremely satisfied with this car. It handles the snow extremely well and I drive on some hairy roads.

I hate snow :). Hopefully, it'll melt away quickly.
Hey Xman, were you on route 18 in East Brunswick this afternoon? I saw on G35x, and it looked nice.

I'm just glad that this snow is supposed to start today rather than wednesday like it was originally forecasted to.

I gotta take delivery of my G on friday or saturday, before I'll have a chance to put any snow tires on..

hopefully it'll all be melted by then.

My baby got it's first bath yesterday so I drove my Outback today through the mess.

xman, have you actually tried pushing the G35x in the snow, or was it just casual driving?

Just curious how the AWD system handles in more spirited driving in the snow. Thanks

Unfortunately last Friday nite I was in a lunch line all the way home from work so I haven't really tested the limits of the X yet in the snow. What I can tell you is that when you hit the snow button it throttles back and grabs. I drive local roads usually and here in central NJ they get hairy in the snow. The car performed really well especially when I went up and down some serious hills in about 4" of loose to packed powder. My point of comparison is an AWD Subaru Outback. I can tell you that the X definitely held the road better than the Outback would have under those conditions. I attribute it to the tires, longer wheelbase, width, and lower center of gravity and an extra 300 lbs. I'll post once I really test it. Hopefully we'll get some snow after the 1200 break in. Check out Klayfish on the general sedan forum. He's got some more descriptions. Rain tonight. Snow will be gone when you pick up your G! : )
