* 6-30 Monterey Drive Sign Up List *
 

Starting point for this meet will be same as our last S/C drive in April, but due to the length of this drive? we will be meeting up at 9 AM and leaving at 10 AM, the drive route will have no twisties, just some of beautiful ocean view along the way and “should” have an relaxed pace.

We will stop somewhere in Capitola for short break and to wait for those didn’t want to wake up early but still want to join the meet later on, and wait for the group taken the twisty route. Bring some water and snacks, its going to be long day, also bring two-way radio.

This drive will be ending at Old Fisherman’s wharf, due to the limitation of selections and high prices for the whole group? no group lunch is planed, there are plenty of restaurants around the pier, the majority of us ate at Gilbert’s last time, I think it took about 10~15 minutes wait for a table, you can certainly make reservation on your own early.

Directions and meeting locations will send to you via PM or e-mail, once you sign up, please take few moments to familiarize them, will have copies at meeting locations, will also assign you to a group when you arrived at meeting location, park together with your group to cut down some of the confusion when we taking off.

Standard meet/gathering rules applies, no burning/peeling outs, no stuns, no excessive engine reving, especially in crowded/enclosed areas, keetp your speed during the drive in check (try!!!), and be considerate for other motorist on the road. If you have friends coming along? Please advise them those rules…like whoever invited that Z06 driver!

The dry run for this meet is planed on June 16th come out if you would like to be a group leader or if you can not make on June 30th.



Itinerary

09:00AM -- Meet up
10:00AM -- Heading down to Capitola

11:45PM -- Arriving at Capitola for short break and waiting for group from twisty routers or late risers.
12:30PM -- Heading out to Monterey Fisherman’s wharf

1:30PM -- Arriving at Old Fisherman’s Wharf
2:00PM -- Walking over to the Piers for lunch.

4:00PM -- Heading home.

Good stuff, Shane. I can't make the dry run, but we will be there on the 30th. Last year, prior to the dry run that you, Carol, "little" Austin, and myself made, Carol and I went on a Monterey dry run to scout our a large staging area prior to entering Monterey. We stopped in Capitola, but couldn't find a space/lot big enough to accomodate the group. It was crowded in Capitola, as you can well imagine. Were you planning on actually stopping in the town of Capitola or the place we stagged at last year?

In any event, this should be another awesome run/meet, as usual. ;) :D

Edit: Shane, if so desired by others . . . I will stage at the Serramonte parking lot. We'll meet up at 8:00am and head out at 8:30am.

Its same, just didnt want to make meeting locations public! Also want to stop by that vista point after Capitola to regroup, I was last car out of Capitola got caught behind traffic lights, I could see Jon's yellow Z in distance ahead but could never catch up, kinda boring driving last part by myself.
