Tires on OEM 19's
My Bridgestone's are coming to an end (approaching 20K miles)! Looking to get a more aggressive look.
Just curious: Are any of you running 275/35 (rear) and 245/35 (front) with the OEM 19's?? I'm thinking about going with the Michellin Pilot's S/A. Coming out to about $1200 for the entire set... Thinking about upgrading to wider/more aggressive tires! Thanks :) |
Look at some of the vendors on this site u can get toyos 275/35 and 245/35 shipped to your house cheaper then that

I have seen people on Driver run a that setup on OEM 19's, but IMO, it looks terrible. Sidewall just bulges out. There is probably even a decrease in performance.

Helpful tire calculator. For 245/35/19, 8 inches is the smallest width wheel you should put them on (just happens to be the front wheel width for OEM 19's). However, 9.0 inches is the smallest recommended wheel width for 275/35/19. The rear OEM 19's are only 8.5 inches wide. |
i'm running General Exclaim UHPs with a square setup - same size all around:
245/35/19 |
You could get some nice staggered 19's or 20's on here for about that price w/ decent tires. N just keep your oems for winter.

more aggresive go with falken fk452 or BFGoodrich kdw2

So I'm caught in somewhat of a dilemma:
Seems as though the ONLY company that makes the set of tires that I'm looking for (i.e. 245/35/19 and 265/35/19) are made by Michelin which will be $$$ coming out to $1400 to $1600!! UNLESS I go with Michelin's for the rear and Falken's for the front??? Have any of you done that?? Or should I just go with Falken's all around (245/35/19 and 255/40/19) for almost half the cost of the Michelin's?? Just a reminder I have the OEM 19's (19x8 front and 19x8.5 rear). Please help.....NEED TO ORDER TIRES ASAP!!!! |
Fk452!!!!!

IMO, I would stick with Toyo T1-R's in stock sizes. However, between the Michelins and Falken, I would go Falken. Don't know about those sizes though.

i've got 275 rear and 245 front on oem 19's and there was no decrease in stickiness. in fact it's noticeably better than stock. been riding on them for a long time now and i am totally satisfied.

go bfg kdws if you plan on spending that much
|
t1-r's in stock sizes was my choice. They were great until i sold them.
get stock sizes then spacers? if you want to get an agressive look to the car. |
