Car won't start even with GOOD battery
 

Hey All -

I have a very annoying issue. :mad:

My car won't start even though the battery is good. ( I had it tested)

I have to jump start it and it'll start up right away but once I turn engine off it doesn't start again.

Can anyone help me figure out what may be the issue?

starter? alternator? etc....

info: its a 05 coupe, everything is stock.

are you sure the Battery is good? even with a bad cell, the battery can test good,
when you start the vehicle up do you drive far? because the battery gets recharged by the Alternator, so if it's driving around good that means the alternator is good, everytime you kill the car, it won't start, just really sounds like a battery issue to me

Sounds like battery to me...most of the new testers will test the battery by charging it, let it idle, and then retesting/checking the charge. Is that what you had done?

Definitely sounds like a battery issue.

YES, I went out and got a new battery and sure enough, it start-up right away.
