What's up with G Drivers high beaming?

I drive a lot and I see many drivers using their high beams at night. Dunno if they feel the need to because their normal lights aren't lighting up the road. But it's interesting that I also see many G Drivers doing this too. Both reg and highbeams are on, as if their HID need compensating for. Less tuned drivers highbeam because they don't know better, but G drivers too?

Why not get xenon bulbs or something with higher K?

It's not safe and annoyig to high beam on with others on the road. I see many Gs do it. I'm just wondering why.

Never noticed any G's high beaming but something with a higher K will have less light output

Never seen any other drivers high beam at all as far as ive seen.

idk, i basically swapped my D2R (night time running) lights with 6k HID's and my H4 (fog lights) with 3k and now when i turn my high beams on they don't work. if i have my fog lights on and hit the high beam switch then they turn off and only my 6k's show..and when they are off and hit high beams on nothing changes! still my 6k's only..idk what's the deal? can someone help me?!

are you sure you are not mistaken their fog lights as high beams?

the light comes from the same bulb.. but since it's dual filament the output of the fog light and the high beams are different..

so while it looks like they have high beams on, it's just their fog lights.. and while the HID low beams do a great job overall.. the fog lights light up 0 to 10 feet front of the car much better..

There's a person in SJ, grey G35, who consistently has all lights on from daytime running lights, normal driving lights, and fog/highbeams lit. I see this car around Capitol Exp (near Silver Creek high school and Target), Capitol & Mabury another silver G, and then maybe same person again on 280 (grey G). Usually on 880 I see a black G with the entire stack lit blinding everyone.

Yes I'm sure. I've seen all kinds of setups on all types on cars. There's no reason in the bay where there isn't much fog, save SF and some other location, for G Drivers to light up the top and bottom circles of our light clusters. I'm not even getting into aftermarket stuff.

I'm talking about lighting up the entire cluster. As I know it, we have 3 circles/bulbs in our cluster. I see people light up all 3 (of course 2 is normal for night driving) but all 3 and it's high beaming?

I see all other lights behind me too, and I can tell the difference between high and low. The Gs to the side of me are brighter than everyone else and it's lighting up the signs high above all of us. That's what I'm talking about.

projectors always light up more, plus the lower rear stance on most G's cause that beam to face up a little more than a normal car that is nose diving most of the time.
