Tagged an f'n deer on Germantown Road tonight..

Heading home from class at Univ of Portland at about 9:45 pm and NAILED a deer that lunged out as I was going around a turn. Damn grill is smashed out, hood is creased and won't shut properly, and front bumper is f'd up enough to need replacing.... Sucks. Had to watch the police officer (I called out so I could claim it through insurance properly) shoot the poor animal twice as it was beyond being able to recover. I feel horrible, yet pissed at the same time. So what should I do? OEM hood, Gailla front grill and Nismo front bumper? I mean.... insurance will most likely let me get anything I want providing it's at or under the cost of OEM products from Inifiniti. If anyone knows a good shop here in the Portland area (that also shows up on Safeco's list to choose from) that would be cool with letting me pick out whatever let me know! Baby needs fixing!

wow that sucks for the G and the deer... time to get nismo front, gialla or data grill and a cf hood (if thats your style)

I think a cf hood will make it a lil ricey.. and since I drive ALL day for work I gotta keep it somewhat professional looking :) Whats a good site for bumpers for the G so I can quote it for the appraiser? Any idea? Any alternatives OTHER than the gialla and data grills?

Doooooooood, that sucks ***!!! Sorry man.

Well now you can get the Kuruma Z front bumper. That thing is tight!

Tis life.. Could be worse. Car is fine when it comes down to it and so am I :)

Well.. by fine I mean... it's repairable.. Poor deer isnt :(

Sorry, man -- glad you're OK. I live just off Skyline, and there have been deer in my yard and on my street four or five times in the last couple of weeks. I go up and down Cornell almost every day and I'm always paranoid about a deer jumping out at me.

BTW, my vote is for the Data System grill -- and please, no CF ;) .

I"ll have to remember to not drive down germantown road at night than. (I go that way all the time)

I'm used to dodging deer (lots of em' near my house), but I think I drive much too fast through germantown to do that effectively :p

Yea :) I was on a straight away when I hit it too! It lunged out from behind a huge sign as I passed.. NO cf for me. I did the whole ricey stuff on my civic back in high school...
