any G35 in europe??? --> the GAS question!!
Helo, happy G owners in europe... i just wanna know about what gas to use and, please support your answer... because as we all know in usa they use gas with an octane of 91... but , for example, in Latvia we have gas ranging from 76 up to 98.... 95 and 98 being the most commonly used...

I guess you're the only one in Europe bro! :D Show some pix of your ride! ;)

There are a few G35's in the UK.
Also, how they rate fuel in Europe is different from how they rate fuel in the US. Basically, Europe uses a RON scale and the US uses a PON scale. Therefore, a rating of 91 in the US is equivalent to a 95 in Europe. It's a common mis-conception that the US gets inferior fuel to Europe. There's not much point in using 98 gas unless the ECU is tuned to it unless you want the better cleaning properties of gas such as Shell Optimax. |
so are the g35's in europe rhd then straight from japan or what..are they still called g35s there?
|
In UK anyway they are from Japan, so they are badged under Nissan as Skyline 350GT.

In the UK, we get the *** version so its a Nissan Skyline 350GT - which confuses people as we also have a Nissan 350Z-GT in large numbers!
I always use RON98 (Super Unleaded) - Shell Optimax for example as in Japan they tend to use higher rated fuel. |
Do you have any pics of a Latvian G? How do they do with the large Euro license plates?
|
how much is fuel per gallon out there in the UK? I might be moving out to the UK or Germany next year and want to know if I should bring my G out there. Anyone have a US G out in Europe?
|
Fuel in the UK at the moment is expensive compared to you guys in the USA. Based on the fact that its just under £1 / litre - a gallon is about £4.30 = around $7.50 or thereabouts. I only get through a tank of petrol a month in my 350GT which isn't too bad. If you planning to do loads of miles, then I wouldn't bring the G unless you got some decent funds!
All the G's in the UK are imports from Japan (hence called 350GT) as we drive "on the other side". In Europe they will be US G's. |
I just moved from the UK, can't imagine G's over there.... prob. turn A LOT of heads!!!!
