Yeah there is a gap and that's one of the reasons I want to get rid of them. The offset is 38 and 40 which sucks ***. I order some new rims that are 20x9.5 24mm in the front and 20x11 29mm in the front. Is that a good set up?

nope still not aggressive.

your old wheels are better for sedan fitment

What do you mean still not aggressive? What would make them aggressive?

G35SHAWN 09-02-2008 06:45 PM

Ha ha..in few weeks pics of my new aggressive set up will be posted...My new wheels has officially touched the US shore :D

Aggressive not found...get some lower offsets. Throw some 15-25mm spacers on them and then post your pics up.

dorkidori_S13 09-02-2008 07:46 PM

wow...the G guys still have alot to learn about aggressive fitment ;)

key rule about wheel fitment....

IF IT DOESNT RUB...ITS NOT A LOW ENOUGH OFFSET!!! :D

heres a few of my car...
1993 S13 coupe
rolled and slightly pulled fenders
FRONT: 17x9 +0 hotwheels sixtyeights 215/40/R17
REARS: 18x10 +11 SSR MS1s 225/40/R18 (im waiting for my front MS1s to arrive from japan...should be here in about 2 months...theyre 18x9 +12)

with all 4 hotwheels on (all 4 rims use to have 225/45/R17s on em...couldnt fit em right...too bulky)

well you are also running smaller wheel widths than he is!!
for a 10.5, i would expect 0 or lower, like you have.

Like what offsets should I get?

and when you talk about spacers, you mean front and back right. I dont know if I will be able to re-order the wheels with the new offsets so what spacers should I put in the front and rear?

honestly...dont get into messing around with lower offset wheels or spacers until youve done a fair amount of research on how to FIT them (you fit the car to the wheels...not the wheels to the car)...i dont know what its like in G35 land...but im guessing its similar to 240sx land...youre going to HAVE TO roll your fenders to even get near having good "flush" fitment...also youre going to need to run AT LEAST +15 to +10 on a G/Z to get the wheels to sit flush with very little camber (you guys have some fatty rear fenderwells)...also youre going to need to stretch your tires like whoa for any kind of good fitment (the biggest i recommend running on a 18x10 or even 18x11 is 235/40/R18...and thats still kinda bulky to get your wheels flush)

if youre interested in learning about wheel fitment...go hit up www.zilvia.net and look thru the WHEEL FITMENT WHORE THREAD...its located in the main chat section...ALL types of wheels with TONS of different offsets and fender setups...personally i perfer rolled and lightly pulled stock metal...looks VERY clean...but if youre going for the HUGE wheel + performance setup...youre going to need over fenders and such

225-255, 255-285. all depends like dorki said.

IvoryGT 09-05-2008 05:19 PM

well low and flush. The offset might not push it out far enough, I will be using spacers, they will be for show only. So I need a nice stretched look. I guess the question is what's the max you can put on the wheels 8.5" and 10" wide.

255 and 295 is the widest you can put on those wheels safely. If you want to stretch them, then you are going to have to go 225 and 245/255. Honestly I think you just need new wheels

FRONT: 19x8.5 - 205/40/R19 (MAYBE a 215/40/R19...also 205 might be hard to find for a 19 inch wheel...biggest wheels ive ever used are 18s...but the side walls in 40 will be perfect)

REAR: 19x10 - 225/40/R19

those sizes will give you a TON of clearance and room to work with (so u dont have to add a bazillion degrees of camber to make them fit right)

also...those sizes are meant for a car with rolled fenders...u can still fit em to non rolled fenders...BUT...ull need to add camber to keep the sidewalls from getting torn up

I'm not sure if running tires significantly narrower than stock is a good idea. At a minimum I would run stock sizes to keep the load indexes in a safe range

sugsss 09-06-2008 02:58 AM

front 8.5x19 215/35/19 with atleast a -12 offset
rear 10x19 235/35/19 with -6 offset

roll fenders and adjust camber as nessery for clearance and your good if this is for show only.

lol...man...uve got quite a bit to learn about wheel fitment

ive been running stretched tires for quite a few years now...ive never had a problem with them (and this is drifting and drag racing with them...my car is a mid to high 12 second car as well)

how do you think people fit 18x10s/18x12s on 240s??? how do you u think u fit crazy deep offsets on FM chassis with stock rolled fenders??

camber and stretched tires

trust me...youll be fine on stretched tires...get a good tire with a thick sidewall and ull be fine (i recommend federal 595s or falken azenis 615s)

Invalid_User 09-06-2008 04:00 AM

^lol barely a month and correcting almost every person

Nice wheels by the way

sugsss 09-06-2008 04:48 AM

^^^^lude know's his fitment he's just warning the guy,I've seen 225 on a 10 going sideways 265 on a 11.5 for vip just gotta be aware that's all:biggthumpup:

I'm not talking about the stretch issue, that is a separate one. It is doing that stretch on those narrow wheels by using tires narrower than what comes stock on the g35. This is why I suggested IvoryGT get different wheels, there isn't a good way to stretch tires on those wheels. Not only is there a load issue as I mentioned before, but running a stretched 235 on the rear of a g35 with aggressive fitment would just look stupid because it is so narrow. The car would look like a crab. If rims with the correct width were used, you can get away with a stretch while running tires wider than stock and still get the same fitment and stretch as your suggested fitment.
