My G's transformation.lots of pics.
I posted this on our local site and thought I'd share it here too.
I always wanted to do one of these and I'm kinda at the point now where I finally have enough changes to make it worth it. Enjoy... My first night bringing her home last April. https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...3/P1010025.jpg https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...123/car4-1.jpg My first "mod" billet grille (I know),and clear corners. https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...ghtside1-1.jpg Then the wheels!! I was sooo stoked when these came in!! This was also the day John, Terry and others put on my H-Techs. https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...clipers3-1.jpg Next came a new exhaust system. https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...P1010004-1.jpg Also, I changed out the front grille https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...rontgrille.jpg Next on the list, Santa and Klumzee brought me a body kit!! Replica greddy sides and kenstyle rear. https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...bodykit2-1.jpg Next up I went with a Bat black roof overlay. https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...ovecarshot.jpg Also since winter there is an additional 1/2" drop in the rear. I also added an Intense Motorsports N-1 front lip. Also did a bunch of engine stuff like 5/16 spacer, grounding wires, polished injen intake, polished plenum, color matched battery/brake covers, Zex 100 shot nitrous system etc. Strangely enough I don't have pics of the engine yet but if anyone else does hit me up. So here again is the before... https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...3/P1010025.jpg and a bunch of afters... https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...3/chadsG-1.jpg https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c.../chadsg2-1.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...runkshot-1.jpg https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...lingintheG.jpg https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...3/IMG_9408.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...3/blurcar1.jpg https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...TCARSHOT-1.jpg https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c...3/mk3_1636.jpg http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s...G_5043copy.jpg http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/_MG_5134.jpg So that's where she's at now. Nothing crazy but I think it shows nice a clean. HUGE thank you to Terry, John, Larry, Eli, Jeff and anyone else that has helped do the things I have no idea how to do (pretty much everything except detailing  ). Without your willingness to help a chump like me out, she'd still be pretty stock or I'd be broke as a joke!! Props also to my wife who happens to be the coolest thing since sliced bread and for putting up with my $hobby$. Also thank you to Johnny, Brad, Dino and Danny for the great pics. |
Wow man, I think it looks great!
Only complaint - the stock front bumper, even with that nice lip, is far too high to flow with the sideskirts. You need to get an aftermarket front bumper for sure. BTW, if you go that route, how much for the lip??? :icon17: |
very nice transformation man, keep up the good work.
That's not the authentic gialla is it? If so, is that the mesh that comes with it? I'm really feelin' that grille...
Very clean!

Wow... you came a long a-- way! Keep it up!
Very clean despite all the exterior mods. Nice!
I think I saw your car on I-55 a few weeks back. Looks great.
nice with the kenstyle rear and greddy sides...
Nice G, bro! It really has come a long way!
man you stole my rims! nah looking good, im going to pick up those rims soon.

Thanks guys, it's appreciated. I really can't go any lower on the front as it's only 4" from the ground now and driving Chicago roads is a challenge to say the least. The sides are 3 1/2" off the ground so personally I think they really match up pretty well since we're talking a half inch difference. I didn't want too aggressive of a front so the lip I feel gives it just enough aggressiveness without being over the top. However, you know with this car thing of ours, my mind might change next month.
Oh yeah, as for the Mazda sign...there is an amazing dealership called Autobarn Nissan that holds a shop night for our club every month were they open the whole shop to us, lifts and all. They even have techs on hand to help with stuff for free. Anyway, they also own the Mazda dealership across the street, the lighting was good over there so we snapped a couple pics. |
there is no way that difference is only 1/2", more like 1-2". Sorry, but it looks very mismatched and awkward imo at this point.I like the wheels though
