affordable steplip 20's

hey, so i was thinkin' about picking these up for the Wifey. i have their F14's so i can vouch for the quality of Forgestar, they also just won 2 awards at SEMA. she's on 18's but scrapes a lot, so i might upgrade her to 19's or 20's. we'll see, either way just thought i'd share a new wheel option w/you guys.

Forgestar F10's

Available Sizes

20x8.5 offsets from +30 to +50 (24.3lbs)
20x9.0 offsets from +18 to +56
20x10.5 offsets from +20 to +45
20x12 offsets from +39 to +65 (27.8lbs)

pictured
20×9 with 245/30/20 Toyo T1-R
20×10.5 with 285/25/20 Toyo T1-R

what do you guys think??? i think they run around $1760 a set.

Those are 1-piece wheels. That's Mike's car. His handle is The Godfather over on mbworld.org and mymbonline.com - 2 forums I frequent regularly. He's a sponsor over on mbworld, and sells these wheels. They are catching on quickly with the MB crowd. Wheels are "made in taiwan and finished in the US", whatever that means.

Probably assembled in Taiwan, shipped to US and the chroming and painting process done in the US

if you haven't read, there is a 370z thread about forgestar dropping the ball on production time.. they also shipped wheels with 3 different shades of color and a couple of other problems.. not sure if you want to trust them just yet

I read that iForged is the parent company. IIRC, the forged series go for ~$3K for a set of 20's

its a shame they've run into customer service and quality issues, I guess they've had trouble dealing with their own success. I was fortunate when I got mine and had zero bad experiences and the quality of my set came out great. I just wish someone would have told me about the extended offset range when I stated I wanted lower options, but instead I find out about 2-months after I get my wheels.

oh yeah, I love well stanced E-series! The f10 looks great on a G-coupe I'd try to make a full set of 20x10.5+20's fit

I was actually thinking about getting them when I came down there to Cali. I was going to purchase drive down there on stocks and put them on then ship them up to Seattle, but when I couldnt get a promise they would be made by then I went with my wheels now. I glad I went with them, but if these were a 2 or 3 piece I would probably get them.

But now hearing about how much people are having trouble with forgestar I think I might stay away.

So if you do get some SDGenius, get some pretty good offset for her.
