Finally - the look I've been wanting. PICS!

Thanks everyone for the help and advice. After many sleepless nights fearing of rubbing rear fenders and not low enough drop, I installed everything and got everything I was looking for. Details:

Z04 revised suspension (springs/shocks). 350z track wheels - staggered 18X8 and 18X8.5 rear. Potenza RE040 225/45/18 front, 245/45/18 rear. Alignment ~ the rear camber I set to -1.3 degrees left and right as not to rub the fenders.

I don't know.. I don't much care for those wheels at all. They're not ugly, but not that good looking either, kind of blah. The 05 Z06ish looking ones look the best to me.

By the way - can you do something about those gigantor pic's? :D

gspotter Jul 2, 2005 06:18 PM

Doesn't look quite right seeing Nissan logos on the wheels.

Chico Jul 2, 2005 07:25 PM

I agree with the others. Not ugly but not looking great either. Just my opinion.

Considering your used the Z springs, you should get the alignment done properly and get it into specs. You don't need to worry about rubbing with those wheels/tires set up and drop. You got plenty of room.

Holy Huge pictures....

Id have to agree with the others. The wheels are OK, but not really for our cars.

LOL, tough crowd here! You guys need bigger screens .. 1600X1200 or more!

G35_coupe_6MT Jul 3, 2005 09:02 AM

Rims look too small IMO.

G35Papa Jul 3, 2005 12:07 PM

you got any wider shots of the side of the car?

Congrtas! You got the look, which you were after. Enjoy your G's make-over.

Really dig the wheels- The looks is understated and cool.
Works perfectly with the lines of the G-
These wheels in brushed form are found on the coupe in Japan-
Nice look

cloudy6MT Jul 4, 2005 04:06 PM

Is there a way to get these wheels brushed or polished?

Court - I think I saw pics of your car - inspired me to do the same on my BS sedan. Looks real nice with a black car - the color contrasts nicely.

Triple8Sol Jul 5, 2005 03:18 PM

I think it looks great on the sedan, but really out of place on the coupe, unless it's for track use...
