???.. I've always said that. :D

BTW what happend at the dyno day?

Believe me, I wanted the spacer to give me 10 HP! I'm sorry that it did not. I want others to get some dyno numbers on the 05s so I can see if my runs are an anamoly or correct.

I completely agree and am glad to see the results posted.

If the 05 MT lower plenum can't be improved upon then so be it. Thats the way the cookie crumbles. The only thing I would have liked to see added is monitoring of coolant temps on an OBDII scanner. That would have essentially certified the results.

I've carefully monitored coolant temps on all the development testing I've done but I also understand that most dyno shops don't quite go to this extent. In fact, only one of them did it automatically. The others either had no clue about it (but did it upon request), or they wanted an extra $100 to plug in the ODBII scanner.

That's cool. Thanks Scoobybri!

If anybody dyno's their 05 MT (with any plenum mod), please post the results.

Is it a fact that the 05' MT lower plenum has changed for 05' ?? If so, does that mean the same for the 05' AT ?
Thanks.

I agree with the others, thanks for posting this information. I dyno every bike I buy before and after mods, and from what you posted, I trust the results. If the dyno operator knows what he/she is doing, and it's on the same dyno then that is good enough for me.

Well Scoobybri and I will be out at the track this Thursday night. Previously I was just BARELY edging him on quarter mile times, it'll be interesting to see if anything changes.

Ty had me by .07 secs in the 1/4 mile while I was stock. We will find out tomorrow if the spacer helps me catch him!

What were your and Scooby's ET/MPH, increment by increment? That could tell us a lot about how the car's are performing. Good luck on Thursday.

I'm not sure anyone notced this but, 245hp is the highest # i've seen on a stock g35 engine. 221lbs is also a good # for a stock engine. Kinda tough to improve on those #'s.

Bro" somebody is going to bang out this year over 290rwhp.
I just happen to know somebody thats at the 285 plus right now.

ChazM May 11, 2005 09:17 PM

^ that is true, but unfortunately there must be guinea (sp?) pigs and that will be us...personally I think there should still be hp and torque found in headers and HFC's if not in the plenum.
