ECU really worth it for 6MT owners?
ECU really worth it for 6MT owners?
I've been doing a lot of reading on the ECU and it seems to me like it's not a very good deal for 6MT owners. It is highly useful for the sedans because they are "de-tuned", it is highly useful for AT cause it disables the retarded learning of the ECU - but for the 6MT it only adds a few horses. Granted it ups the redline, but I don't really think that justifies the cost. What's your guy's opinions?

I don't think it's worth it right now. I will give it more time and other ECUs to appear on the market. More competition means a more competitive price....

Sounds good. Crawford plenum and intake/exhaust is higher on my list anyway. Oh, and so are sway bars. My previous car is a 300ZX...that thing is low and has really minimal body roll...guess I'm used to that now.

Yea I don't know if it helps the 6MT. I feel like I'm able to get further into the redline than when I first got it after the break in period. It doesn't cut out as bad as it used to either. Just an observation.
