Well I might give it a try and see if I can get it working. The steering wheel should be no problem.
it most likely has to do with nats. but honestly if you have never done anything like this i would look into other options. the amount of rewiring that is needed is going to be pretty extensive.
My dad is a mechanic so I don't really have a problem with rewiring. I just hope that it works. I will post picture tomorrow and let you all know how it goes.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

OP I'm with urban, you seem to not understand how big of a project you're getting yourself into. We're talking about tens of hours if not more. If your car is a daily driver you're essentially screwed.
Yep I noticed that. We took a look at it and well the G37 gauge didn't even fit into the dash so that was the first problem. So we thought we could still cut it down and make it fit. However we realized that the G35 has about 18 pin ( or 20) while the G37 had 24 pin. So like "Blue Dream" stated it would take us days and days of connecting the wires.
So instead of wasting our time we just figured it would be easier for us just changing the gauge colors (later down the track).
Anyways, the G37 steering wheel installation was not a problem at all.

for the ac LCD DISPLAY and window control they are plcc2. technically they are plcc4 but what everyone does for the conversion is just use plcc2. the plcc4 have 4 pins and you will only use two of them for the plcc2. the radio and ac CONTROLs use 0805s. make sure you buy extra. those 0805s are a total b!tch to solder and you will damage quite a few while you are doing it. see this guide on the plcc2s

Thank you .cakestar for the help. I was not 100% sure on the type I needed.
I don't need to worry about text display (for radio) since I have a kenwood dvd player. However I will have that problem for the clock lcd display and gauge display.
My interior looks like this http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4064/...c1f5264b_o.jpg (without the radio)

I'm still waiting for the lights being delivered. It should be arriving in the coming days.
I got a little bored and decided vinyl wrapping the interior (gloss black). It was not fun removing and vinyl wraping the center console.
