JL 500/1 and extra
I have a JL 500/1 for sale. Works fine and is good cosmetically with a few minor scratches. Supports differential inputs for easy integration into the Bose HU or any standard headunit. Any questions just ask.
$210 shipped for the amp or for $225 shipped I'll throw in a 2 farad power acoustik capacitor also.

the capacitor stores energy so that when your system hits real hard the power is there in the capacitor vs drawing it straight from your battery and you lose bass if you dont use a capacitor depending on the size of your system...thats the only way i can explain it hope that helps!

For long, draw out bass notes, a capacitor will do very little because it will completely discharge during the bass note. For shorter, higher power bursts (such as kick drums/snare drums) a capacitor can help keep the dynamic power up in the amp by regulating the voltage. In regulated amps (such as this JL 500/1), capacitors will do very little because they produce the same power across a wide range of voltages. In non-regulated amps (most amps are non-regulated), a capacitor can help keep your voltage constant during the short transient peaks mentioned above. A capacitor can react a lot quicker than a battery, but does not have nearly the total storage capability. To put a long story short, you can use a capacitor to help keep a constant voltage going into an amp during short transients. It should NOT be considered a fix for headlight dimming or voltage drop due to long drawn out bass notes. Headlight dimming can usually be fixed by upgrading your ground wire from chassis ground to the negative battery terminal. On the G with HID's, you won't get headlight dimming anyway as the ballasts are regulated. Past that, a second battery or high output alternator would be the better solution. Below a total of 1000-1500W RMS, a second battery or HO alternator should not be necessary on the G though.
Some people use caps just because most have a digital voltmeter on them also
