‘07 G35 AT 350-360+ horsepower ?

Hello I’m new to the forums I have a ‘07 g35 coupe AT sport package BONE stock. I’m looking to make 350hp to the wheels or more.
I’m not big on turbos or nos and want to see what my options might be. Money is not really an issue (I’m not rich but I’ll be able to afford it ya dig?) I’m located in Tucson az if that helps.

350 to the wheels without boost is gonna require just about everything on the engine to be worked on.

Turbo or supercharger is the easier route to go.

If you are keeping the engine stock, go with a supercharger. Turbos are risky on a stock block.

Have to agree that turbo/superchargers done right will be kind of hard to beat. Never had nos on a car, but one of my favorite cars from the past was an 87 Buick GN, with enough octane and maybe some alcohol injection would make silly amounts of hp. Good luck on the project and shoot us some pics.

Base model
Maybe this can give you a starting point. His mods are in the description. All simple stuff. But as others have said, without boost you will basically have to stroke, port and mod just about everything.

Didn't all coupe's have either the VQ35DE or the rev-up version? They never got the HR, which is a travesty by itself.

Regardless, Sasha's 350Z (On-Point) made well over 350 to the wheels IIRC, although he was running non-streetable cams, internals, an insane redline, and a custom ITB/airbox setup last I saw (may have gone back to a modified plenum). With an automatic, you're gonna lose more power in the drivetrain than a manual (I share your pain). Sasha's numbers were produced with a Quiafe semi-auto box, so your mileage may vary.

Most people with 5AT get between 260-280 to the wheels after most casual bolt-ons/tunes are done (HFC, plenum spacer, exhaust, intake (high-rpm gains and sounds, mostly), tune. To go beyond, it's cams, headers (worse install than you think) and a raised redline if you want to really crack open the block. Beyond that, you've gotta get funky with the intake system like Sasha did, and it's barely gonna be streetable.

Is it possible? Yes. Expensive? Hell yes. Freaking amazing? Hell yes. The easiest method would be a supercharger and it would behave mostly like an NA engine for a lower cost out the door that's mostly safe (if you build the engine with at least rods, you could throw a LOT more power its way). Turbo's are terribly expensive for this platform, and a total bitch to package.

If you can do it NA, mad respect to you. I still maintain an NA VQ ripping to redline (with a GOOD exhaust, not just a 4-inch all-the-way) is one of the best engine sounds ever.

I'm pretty sure the 2007 5AT coupe came with an HR motor? Or did the coupe entirely skip the HR and go straight to the VHR?

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Cleric the second gen coupes went straight to a G37 with the VHR 3.7 ltr. motor. However the 07 sedans got the HR.
