06 g35x Wheel Upgrade
So, my the tires on my 17s are almost worn out and im looking to upgrade my wheels, since they've been curb rashed to all hell by the previous owner. I have a few options in mind based on searching all the threads on this forum. Im not interested in lowering my car since the roads in my town are absolute garbage.
1) 18 coupe wheels. Ive seen a thread or two on how they look with stock ride height, they look okay, but i see the fitment looking a bit odd. Lowered they look amazing. Is there a specific tire size or offset/spacer combo that would make em look amazing, or would lowering be the only way to make em look cool.
2) 19 coupe rays: Same opinion as above, look awesome if the car is lowered, but from pics of others cars, they look a bit weird at stock ride height. Like i find from the pics they stick out too much. I think what i'd want is flush with the fender, and even a tiny bit inside the fender if that makes sense. I guess kind of like the stock 17 fitment.
3) 19 m45 wheels. Same story, id like to see what they look like at stock ride height. Seen lots of pics lowered and they look heavenly, but id like to see some pics at stock ride height if anyones got any.
4) altima ser wheels. I like the look, but i havent found any for sale. I think they'd look good, but again, the only sample pic i saw was of a lowered g.
5) asa 18 bbs reps: i like the look, havent seen any on a g before
6) rtx turbine 18s. Same thing. Havent seen any sample pics.
So i guess the opinions i am looking for are,
a) what wheel looks the best on a g35x at stock ride height, and what corresponding tire size that wont break my back on my rough roads.
b) Should i go with black or normal alloy/silver on my garnet fire sedan?.
Thanks guys!! Sorry if this is another endless wheel/tire post. I just want to make sure i make the best choice before i spend close to 1000 bucks on wheels and tires.

I just realized my thread somehow got double posted with the first sentence. Possibly something happened as im on my phone. Please delete the other thread if possible.
Also, my final option was i found 18 inch g35 wheels, that look like the 19 coupe rays. They are gunmetal, apparently, but they are 18s. Now, to get the best look would 235 45 18, 245 40 18 or 245 45 18 look the best?
Thanks

19 coupe rays are staggered, so they won't work for your all wheel drive setup. I tried to install the coupe rays on my 2004 rwd sedan and the offset/width caused rubbing with my fender. I went with the similar looking 18" from a sport option sedan. Good tire choices in that 18" size (just use the factory size).
18” sedan Rays lookalikes no rub, good offset and width
19” coupe Rays, rear sticks out too much, not enough offset

I guess we'll see what happens.

I lucked out and found my 18” wheel set with tpms and nearly new no name performance tires for $600 shipped on eBay. Here is a similar deal, maybe worth haggling.

Well, here she is
Well here we go. Got em installed today. Apart from the trash paintjob from the guy i got them from, i think they look great!!!! The offset is a bit off from what i would have liked ( they stick out of the fenders a tad on the front) but its still good.
Im glad i got the coupe wheels over the sport 18s. They would have looked good too, but i feel these are more "bad ***" in my opinion.
Also glad i got 235 45 18 tires. They look awesome and ride great!
Thanks!

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
I love the coupe sport 18's; simple, understated yet sporty. But on a stock height sedan to me they look a little off, the gaps, especially in front, are awkward. They still look better than any stock sedan wheels and at 18" ride a hell of a lot better than 19's. Here are a couple of crappy pics of my G back in the day temporarily sporting them, they replaced a rare set of wheels I had stolen, 5Zigen Gravis 1's in chrome that were the shizz. Last pic is my all time favorite of our car, it was taken in 2011 by a member here in downtown LA after a national GTG Sedan meet we had at Venice Beach.

Nice ride man!! What kind of exhaust is that?
I completely agree. They look a lot better when the car is dropped. But, the more i see mine, the more i like them haha. With the roads around here i have no interest in dropping mine, since its an x its a but more difficult. If it was a rwd id probably find 350z springs or something along those lines i believe to drop it, but i think these are still a great upgrade from my stock 17s.
