Rev up DE to regular DE swap. Need mechanical tips
Earlier this year on my 2006 G35 coupe I blew up my rev up motor. It was knocking like crazy.
I almost have it pulled out. Any tips for pulling it out? I never done anything like it. My plan from watching youtube videos is to pull out the ECU harness and throw it through the firewall.
I am just going to throw in a regular DE from a junkyard. My car is tuned with uprev, will I need another tune or will it take on its own? I plan to keep my original engine harness.
Thanks

I did a rev up to DE swap on mine 4 years ago I kept the rev up Ecu and rev up harness. I still have it that way. My engine was 50k miles engine from Jdm Chicago. I love the DE it burns absolutely no oil and has been reliable for 4 years. I got tuned by Z1 motorsports and they got the car running great. Paired up with a Motordyne exhaust with Motordyne art pipes. I truly love the car. Before I put a DE. I replaced it with a Rev up engine 150k miles. And it lasted me 4k miles before it started knocking. So the DE is my 3rd engine and I do not regret it one bit switching to DE.
