Poor gas mileage

My wife's 05 G35X gets 10 MPG the last time I checked for in city driving. New spark plugs, new oil, seems to run very well. Book calls for 16-17 in the city. Anyone checked theirs??

I got an 06 G35x just a month ago and still figuring things out with it myself. Couple things to check, does the Mrs. put Premium in or Regular? And is the check engine light on? Also very elementary, but check tire pressure

Regular gas, no check engine light and tire pressure is at recommended pressure.

yeeeaaah putting 87 in will do it. Our cars require 91. And if 87 is cheaper but giving poor fuel economy it’s almost not worth putting it in

I don't believe higher octane is the issue mileage was 15 mph prior.

yeah the G doesn’t get the best MPG overall but 15-17 city and 22-24 hwy is the range. Check google to verify but if you don’t have any check engine lights, oil change and tire psi good, but you are putting 87 in, that’s the easiest, immediate and cheapest fix. The fuel door also says premium as recommended fuel
