Re: PlatG's Hurricane Protection
Good idea Dr. Phil, maybe I could paint it red and slap a big pinstripe on it and tell everybody that it really is cool. On second thought, my homeowners assoc. wouldn't approve of something in that bad of taste.

Re: PlatG's Hurricane Protection
hey, sort of on this topic...did anyone else see CNN talking about the new hurricane weakening method currently in testing...
Its a powder that they will drop into the eye that almost instantaniously turns all the water into a gel. The gel sinks to the bottom of the ocean where the salt turns it back to water. Supposidly it can reduce the hurricane's strength by 60% '03 G35 Coupe | Black on Black | Performance 20% tint | Clear Corners | Ztube & Popcharger http://www.cardomain.com/id/dabomb3 |
Re: PlatG's Hurricane Protection
Saw something last year where they did a test. Had a small shower off of w palm bch on radar; made the drop and the shower dissapeared! Never did say how much of the stuff it would take to make a difference with a Hurricane.

Re: PlatG's Hurricane Protection
Well since a hurricane possesses more destructive energy than the sum of all of the weapons on the face of the earth, they would need a sheit load of this stuff. If you do a little research, you'll find that they spent several million dollars on the material that they used to make this very small rain storm disappear.

Re: PlatG's Hurricane Protection
I'd love to have this stuff on the days I wash my car. With the florida rains, no day is a good day to wash the car.

Re: PlatG's Hurricane Protection
I always thought if the Hurricane needs hot water to strengthen why dont they drop a bomp that makes the water and air cold??
